21 New SC.Net Members Join in Social Capital Development



The SC.Net Biennial Gathering and Appointment Ceremony 2018 was successfully held on 30 January 2018. Dr LAW Chi-kwong, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, welcomed 21 new members from different sectors and presented the appointment certificate to each of them. Over 100 new and current SC.Net members gathered together to share the experience in social capital development. To date, SC.Net has a 193-strong membership. With the stronger networking power brought into play, social capital can be further enriched in Hong Kong.

The 21 newly appointed SC.Net members come from the Business, Medical, Social Welfare, Education and Academic, Public/Community Services as well as the Culture and Media sectors. At the briefing session, Ms Yan CHAN, Secretary General of the CIIF Secretariat, gave the new SC.Net members a warm welcome.

UPBEAT, a young old a cappella team from the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals



UPBEAT, a young old a cappella team from the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals and a collaborator of the CIIF-funded “Light up Yiu Tung with Care” Networking Project, sang songs at the ceremony. They also shared how they had achieved self-enhancement and used their potentials and strengths to make contribution and bring positive energy to the community.
