Briefing on CIIF’s 26th Batch Approved ProjectsThe CIIF Secretariat organised a briefing for the 8 teams of the 26th batch approved projects on 8 May 2017 at Lecture Hall, Hong Kong Space Museum, introducing the preparatory work on administrative, financial, promotional and outcome evaluation arrangements for launching the projects.
Training Workshop on “Breakthrough to promote sustainable community development”After the briefing, it came to a training workshop on “Breakthrough to promote sustainable community development” which attracted an attendance of around 120 participants. Ms Dora CHENG, Unit-in-charge, Community Economy and Social Enterprise (Ground Works), St. James’ Settlement, shared with the participants the experience of implementing their community development projects, such as Hong Kong House of Stories, culture guided tours, Community Oriented Mutual Economy (COME) projects and Social Enterprise “Ground Works”. With an in-depth understanding of the community, Dora summarised how they had effectively maintained ties with community collaboration and resources, and how they had encouraged stakeholders’ continuous participation through the regional network with a view to jointly building up sustainable social capital. Mr Jeldorf CHAN Yu-ho, Project Officer of Life Workshop, shared with the participants his experience of implementing the CIIF-funded project “Unleash Men’s Power – Men’s Community Networking”. He described how they had developed the strength of men, leveraged the community network and made use of diversified social capital to facilitate sustainable development of the project. |
