Briefing for CIIF’s 25th Batch Approved ProjectsThe CIIF Secretariat organised a briefing for the teams of the 25th batch approved projects on 25 July 2016 at Lecture Theatre, Hong Kong Space Museum, introducing the preparatory work on administrative, financial, promotional and outcome evaluation arrangements for launching the projects. The theme of 25th batch application is "New horizon with strengthened mutual support networks among senior citizens and the community". The CIIF Committee approved 16 new projects out of 43 eligible applications in early July 2016, with an overall allocation of about HK$37 million. Training Workshop on "Building Social Capital through Business-Social Collaboration"After the briefing, it came to a training workshop on "Building Social Capital through Business-Social Collaboration" which attracted an attendance of about 140 participants. Speakers from the business sector and a project team were invited to share some useful tips on business-social collaboration. Ms. Sheila Tang, General Manager of Corporate Communication from NWS Holdings, is well experienced in working with social welfare organisations. She pointed out that business-social collaboration was a win-win approach which could not only enhance the image and credibility of a corporate but also bring more resources and connections for a social welfare agency. She shared with the project teams on the tips on collaborating with the business sector from a corporate point of view, e.g. figuring out what resources a corporate had and how to apply them; building up a common vision with a corporate; and applying an effective communication strategy and active communication. Click here for the presentation slides of Ms. Sheila Tang Ms. WONG Wai-na, Cindy, Chief Manager of Community Medical Support Service Network, Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council Limited, comes from the CIIF project "On Call 24 –Multi-disciplinary Community Health Promotion Scheme" which has been forging long lasting partnerships with many large corporates. Ms. Wong shared out the details of the business-social collaborations they had involved.
