Cross-Sectoral Collaboration Meeting 2017

Creating Synergy by Enhancing Cross–Sectoral Collaboration

The Community Investment and Inclusion Fund (CIIF) organised a "Cross-Sectoral Collaboration Meeting" on 5 July 2017 at Leighton Hill Community Hall. About 100 guests from enterprises/organisations and project teams attended, with the presence of CIIF Committee and SC.Net members offering valuable advice to the participants.

In giving his welcoming remarks, Dr. Wong Tak Cheung, CIIF Committee Member, said that collaboration among different sectors had been essential for the effective building of social capital in the community, and it could create synergy by making a whole greater than the simple sum of one plus one. Thus, CIIF has proactively organised "speed dating" among sectors to explore cross-sectoral collaboration opportunities.

Ms Yan Chan, Secretary General of the CIIF Secretariat, concluded the meeting by thanking everyone for their attendance. She hoped that there would be more cross-sectoral collaboration in the future, starting from a point to a line, and then from a line to a plane so as to form a mutual help and trust network for building social capital in the community.
